The Mass Air Flow Sensor on your vehicle is an essential part of the electronic fuel injection system. The Mass Air Flow Sensor is positioned between the air filter and intake manifold on the engine and measures the amount of air that enters the engine through the engine air filter. The computer in your Nissan takes in the information that the Mass Air Flow Sensor gathers and determines the amount of fuel that's necessary to maintain the correct ratio of fuel to air.
